We support Take Five
We’re proud to support the Take Five national campaign. Take Five give simple and impartial advice to help keep everyone safe from financial fraud that can be prevented. This could be scams through email, phone, or online. Especially where criminals impersonate trusted organisations.
It’s led by UK finance, and backed by the government. The Take Five campaign is delivered through many of our partners in the UK.
Criminals are experts at impersonation. They can spend hours researching you for their scams, hoping you’ll let your guard down for just a moment. Take Five urges you to stop and think whether the situation is genuine. To stop and think if what you’re being told really makes sense.
Stop: Take a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information. This could keep you safe.
Challenge: Could it be fake? It's ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you.
Protect: Contact your bank immediately if you think you’ve been scammed and report it to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk or on 0330 123 2040.
Have a look at the Take Five website and our Spotting fraud and scam page, for more information on how to protect yourself.
