To apply for an additional loan, you must:
Borrow at least £5,000
Borrow the money for at least 5 years
Borrow less than 85% of your home’s value, including your existing mortgage and the additional loan
Not be declared bankrupt or subject to an Individual Voluntary Arrangement
If you’re planning energy-efficient home improvements, look at our lower rate green additional loans. You might be able to borrow up to £50,000.

How do I apply?
Log on to Mobile or Online Banking. Then follow these 3 steps.

Pick your mortgage in the account summary screen

From here, tap ‘Manage my mortgage’

Then choose ‘Borrow more’
Do you have a Flexible Offset mortgage?
With a Flexible Offset mortgage you have an agreed additional borrowing limit, at the same rate as your mortgage. You can access your additional borrowing through Online Banking and repay on a repayment or interest only basis. If you need to increase your additional borrowing limit, you can ask for a credit limit review (charges will apply).
