The acquisition, part of its regional expansion strategy, means Windsor now has 13 operating locations across the country, including facilities in Birmingham, Chelmsford, East Kilbride, Peterborough and St Helens.

Santander UK notes the publication of the results of the 2018 stress tests conducted on six major UK banks and one building society by the Bank of England. For the third year in a row, Santander UK had the lowest stressed CET1 ratio impact of all participating firms, demonstrating our resilient balance sheet and prudent approach to risk. As a result of the exercise, the Bank of England does not require Santander UK to undertake any actions.

A group of Watchet Community Makers has finished work building a bespoke information and communications technology (ICT) suite at the Knights Templar First School in Watchet, thanks to a £5,000 grant from the Santander Foundation. Watchet Community Makers is a scheme developed by the Onion Collective CIC which aims to upskill volunteers to work on local projects, for the wider benefit of the community.

Carers’ Support (Bexley), has received £5,000 to fund a specialist benefits advice service for carers. The service is aimed at those carers who are struggling financially due to the requirements of their caring role, giving them the confidence and experience to become financially stable. The grant will specifically benefit unpaid carers and the disabled people they care for in the London Borough of Bexley.
