Building strong relationships with our suppliers can help make our customers' better happen.
Working together means we can use our strengths to build innovative solutions that keep our customers happy.
1. Request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) events
We use Globality to set up our sourcing events, which are managed by our sourcing partner, Aquanima. When a new sourcing event is set up, an RFP is sent out in Globality. Aquanima will then send an invite to suppliers for them to take part.
2. Risk assessments and onboarding
As a regulated bank, we work hard to find and manage any risks in our supply chain. To do this, we know we need the support of all our partners.
That's why we'll ask you to complete our risk questionnaires. Sometimes we may ask you for more information. If this happens, please make sure to reply as quickly as possible.
3. Receiving and signing a contract
All suppliers must sign a contract agreeing to the Santander UK Plc Terms and Conditions, so we can make sure we're all on the same page when it comes to regulatory requirements.
We'll manage the contract signing process, and we'll typically send the contract to you using an electronic signature software. Please keep in mind that sometimes the purchase order will form the contract. Before starting any activity, make sure you have a valid purchase order in place so we can pay you.
4.Payment
We'll send you an invitation to register for a free SAP Business Network account. This means you'll be given purchase orders electronically, and you'll be paid by SAP Business Network. We support the Prompt Payment Code (PPC), so we make sure that all our suppliers are paid on time.
Payments will be made in accordance with the terms set out in the contract with us.
5.Working together
A Service Manager will work with you to look at service performance and make sure any risks are identified and managed effectively, using our policies, standards and controls.
We may ask for more information from you, including risk questionnaire refreshers. Please make sure you respond as quickly as possible.
Our suppliers are important to us, and we know that communication can help keep things moving in the right direction. That's why each supplier is given a Service Manager, who they can go to with any questions.
Our most strategic suppliers will also be given a supplier collaboration partner, who will work with you to find innovative opportunities and improvements, and look for ways you can be more sustainable.
We want to work with suppliers that have a positive impact on society and the environment we work in. Our Code of Supplier Responsibility sets out our values and the standards and behaviours we expect from all our suppliers.
If you have any questions, please contact your Supplier Collaboration Partner or Service Manager
