Santander is today launching a new range of credit cards designed to offer something for all customers. The new range includes two new cards and the Santander Credit Card, which has been renamed the Everyday Credit Card.
All in One Credit Card
This credit card offers a very competitive 0% balance transfer period of 40 months, 0.5% cashback on all spending with no maximum cap and no foreign transaction fees. Available as a contactless card, it comes with a £3 monthly fee.
Zero Credit Card
The Zero Credit Card will be re-launched offering no foreign transaction or cash withdrawal fees anywhere in the world. This card is perfect for holidays or regular travellers.
Everyday Credit Card
The existing Santander Credit Card will remain the same but will be renamed the Everyday Credit Card. Customers benefit from 15 months 0% introductory balance transfer and purchases, as well as a 0% balance transfer fee and an 18.9% APR.
Matt Hall, Director of Credit Cards at Santander, commented: “We are refreshing our credit card range to make it more attractive and meet a wider range of customers’ needs. Customers can now benefit from unlimited cashback, longer introductory 0% balance transfer periods and fee free foreign transactions depending on which credit card they choose. There’s something for everyone, depending on what type of spender they are.”
Retailer Offers: New Welcome Offers
As well as launching new cards, Santander is also enhancing the Retailer Offers programme. From 4 October 2016, all new customers will be eligible for five welcome offers ranging from 5% up to 25% cashback. The offers, which may change over time, will initially be from the following retailers: Argos, Morrisons, Superdrug, Pizza Hut and Costa.
Retailer Offers are easy to use; customers need to register within 30 days of activating their new credit card through Online or Mobile Banking and will receive the welcome offers within 14 days.
1I2I3 Credit Card
From today, the 1I2I3 Credit Card will be removed from sale for new customers. Existing 1I2I3 Credit Card holders are not affected by this change and will continue to be able to use their credit card and its benefits will be unchanged.
Matt Hall added: “As a bank that wants to help people and businesses prosper, we are constantly evolving our products to ensure they remain compelling and offer our customers a good deal. Our new range of credit cards does just that.”
