Santander has launched a summer holiday prize draw where customers have a chance to win 1 of 18 vouchers worth £5,000 towards their next holiday. The offer is available to all personal Santander debit or credit Mastercard customers and is running until 15 September 2024. 

Customers will automatically be entered into the prize draw for the voucher every time they use their card to make a purchase while abroad in the local currency between 18 June and 15 September. There is no minimum purchase value required to enter the draw.

All eligible purchases are automatically entered into the prize draw, with the winners informed in October.

The 18 winners will receive a £5,000 e-voucher, which can be spent at a variety of retailers including Airbnb, Eurostar, hotels.com, Royal Caribbean, AirlineGift. A full list is available online.

Santander current accounts that offer fee-free spending abroad include:

  • Santander Edge Current Account offers customers up to £20 a month from cashback on essential bills and spending, a linked 7.00% AER easy access saver, and fee-free spending abroad using the Santander Edge debit card, for a £3 monthly fee.
  • Santander’s Edge Up Current Account offers customers up to £30 a month from cashback on essential bills and spending, 3.5% AER in credit interest (up to £25,000) on their current account balance, and fee-free spending abroad, for a £5 monthly fee.
  • Private Current Account (v2) offers customers up to £1,500 in daily withdrawals from cash machines, access to 10,000 branches across 11 countries, fee-free spending abroad, and 3.5% AER interest on balances up to £25,000, for a £5 monthly fee.

Santander credit cards that offer fee-free spending abroad include:

  • Santander Edge Credit Card offers customer up to £15 a month cashback, with 2% cashback on all purchases for the first year, 1% on all purchases after the second year, and fee-free spending abroad, for a £3 monthly fee.
  • Santander All in One Credit Card offers customers fee-free spending abroad and 0.5% cashback, capped at £10 a month, for a £3 monthly fee.
  • Santander World Elite Credit Card for Santander Select and Private Banking customers, the World Elite card offers customers fee-free spending abroad, access to over 1,400 airport lounges, and global data roaming for a £15 monthly fee.
