From this month Santander UK will be introducing a new cashback deal for its 123, 123 Lite, Select and Private current account customers. New and existing Santander life protection1 policyholders will be eligible to receive two per cent cashback on premiums paid by direct debit from their Santander current account2.
The new cashback category further strengthens those already available on these current accounts:
| on water and council tax bills; on the first £1,000 paid towards a Santander monthly residential mortgage payment. |
| on gas and electricity bills; on Santander home insurance premiums (policies administered and underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited); on Santander life protection premiums (policies administered and underwritten by Aviva Life & Pensions UK Limited). |
| on mobile and home phone bills, broadband and paid for TV packages. |
Santander’s Life Protection products include a range of decreasing, increasing and level term cover as well as critical illness and over 50s protection.

Life protection is such an important part of family financial planning so it’s great to be able to give a little back with this new cashback category.”

Notes to editors
- The new cashback category applies to Santander life protection policies administered and underwritten by Aviva.
- The 1|2|3 Current Account and Select Current Account have a £5 monthly account fee and the 1|2|3 Lite Current Account has a £1 monthly account fee. To earn cashback you must pay in at least £500 a month (excludes internal transfer) and have at least two active Direct Debits. 1|2|3 Lite Current Account customers must also log on to Online or Mobile Banking at least once in every three months. Cashback is paid monthly. You may hold a maximum of two 1|2|3 Current Accounts or Select Current Accounts, one in your name and one in joint names. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident.
