Recruitment firm BOSS Professional Services has unveiled plans to expand its business in the renewable energy sector in Europe and Africa following funding from Santander UK.
Santander UK has provided the business with a £5.15m invoice finance package. The working capital supports its planned growth in the renewable energy sector in Europe, including Germany, Denmark and Sweden, and Africa, specifically Ghana. It plans to grow its business with existing renewable energy clients and to attract new customers in the sector.
London-headquartered BOSS Professional Services comprises a group of recruitment agencies providing consultants to several industry sectors including energy, IT and life sciences. It currently employs a staff of 50 and has a pool of 180 consultants. It plans to increase its staff and consultants in line with its anticipated growth over the next few years.
BOSS Professional Services has banked with Santander UK since 2014, shortly after it was established, and has grown significantly over that time. It is on track to achieve annual turnover of £35m this year, up from £20.6m last year, and it is targeting turnover of £40m next year.
Ross Bessell, Director, Boss Professional Services said: “As my business has grown over the past several years, so too has the relationship with our banking partner, Santander UK, whose support has enabled us to expand in the UK and overseas. The bank understands my business and I look forward to continuing to seek its counsel on new growth ideas and strategies that we will be implementing this year and in years to come.”
Steve Angelkov, Invoice Finance Client Manager at Santander UK said: “We have been delighted to help BOSS Professional Services to grow over the eight years that we have been its banking partner. Santander UK is well placed to support the invoice finance needs of businesses like BOSS Professional Services, fostering a deep understanding of their business and providing tailored funding packages to help them achieve their growth aspirations.”
