Felixstowe Opportunity Group has received £3,500 to fund learning sessions for children with special needs in Felixstowe.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
Felixstowe Opportunity Group supports children and families with additional learning and development needs. The grant will assist the running costs of the sessions, including additional classes during school holidays, to help improve the lives of the children in a safe and supportive environment.
Lorraine Waite Chairperson at Felixstowe Opportunity Group said: "This being our 25th Anniversary year, our group continues to thrive and has become well established in the local Community. Grants such as this from the Santander Foundation help us enormously to continue our work with children with special needs and their families in our local community."
Jenny Bingle, Branch Manager at Santander’s Ipswich branch said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Felixstowe Opportunity Group, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local children.”
