Santander UK today announced the appointment of Duke Dayal as Chief Financial Officer.
Currently CFO of Santander Holdings USA and President and CEO for Santander Bank NA, Duke has over 30 years’ experience in a range of global financial roles across banking, private equity and consumer brands.
He will join the Executive team, reporting to CEO Nathan Bostock and will start his role on 16 September.
Duke replaces Antonio Roman who after six years in the UK is returning to Madrid as Head of Retail, Corporate and Commercial, Santander Spain.
Santander UK CEO Nathan Bostock said: “I am delighted to appoint Duke as our new CFO. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from the variety of global finance roles he has undertaken over the last three decades. He is well known across the Group and we look forward to welcoming him back to the UK.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Antonio for his outstanding service to the UK business over the last six years. He has been an excellent CFO, guiding us through a period of immense regulatory change and helping to ensure the financial stability and strength of the bank.”
