Cotswold House has received £2,500 to improve the facilities and support it offers to homeless young women in Winsford.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
Cotswold House provides accommodation for homeless women aged 16 to 36 years. The grant will be used to decorate and refurbish two rooms; one will become a multi-purpose space, and the other an informal relaxing area. Both rooms will be used to offer counselling, alternative therapies and various learning and support activities for the residents.
Angela Kandeh, Service Manager, Cotswold House said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this grant from the Santander Foundation. The new facilities will make such a difference to improve the emotional wellbeing of our residents."
Mark Baker, Branch Director at Santander's Northwich branch said: "The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Cotswold House, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people."
