Santander UK today announced the appointment of David Morris as Head of Homes. David will report into Enrique Alvarez, Santander UK’s Retail & Business Banking CEO.
The Head of Homes will manage a portfolio of c.£177Bn assets with c.11% UK market share and c.1.8m customers.
The key accountabilities of the role will include developing data-driven solutions for the bank’s mortgage customers, driving new mortgage business, and driving the digital strategy in Homes.
David Morris has over 17 years of experience in financial services, holding Board positions and leading transformation. Most recently he was Chief Commercial Officer for Yorkshire Building Society.
He will join Santander later this year.

David Morris has worked in financial services since 2006. He started his career at Citigroup, before moving on to roles at Arbuthnot Latham, the Commercial Bank of Qatar, Coventry Building Society and, most recently, Yorkshire Building Society as the Chief Commercial Officer.
