Birmingham-based Close Circuit Security Services Ltd, a leading provider of security solutions to social landlords, NHS Trusts, commercial and industrial businesses, as well as providing domestic security systems has received a funding package worth £730,000 from Santander Corporate & Commercial to allow it to invest and grow a new division called UK Security Doors Ltd.
Founded in 1998, CCSS has since provided a growing number of social landlords and businesses across the Greater Midlands region with the installation of state-of-the-art security solutions including life safety warden call and fire alarm systems, access control including automated gates and doors along with intruder and CCTV systems. A fast growing electrical division which is NICEIC approved offers emergency lighting and storage heater solutions. The company has seen turnover increase from £4.6 million in 2012 to £8.2 million in 2015 and is expecting it to reach £10 million for FY2016.
The funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial will be used to support the development of the UK Security Doors brand, which is focused on developing high quality doors for Social Landlords and corporate clients. CCSS used to subcontract the manufacture of its range of security doors but quickly realised they could manufacture their own given the strong demand in the market for such products.
The funding will also allow CCSS to expand its workforce by hiring five new employees over the next two years, contributing to the overall expansion of the company. The firm currently has circa 80 employees.
