On Monday, 4 December 2017, Santander UK will officially open its newly designed and refurbished branch on St Stephen’s Place, Plympton. It is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a programme to deliver even better customer service and community-friendly banking.

From Monday, 4 December 2017, Santander for Intermediaries (SfI) will be introducing a soft credit check process across all its intermediated mortgage business, providing customers with the peace of mind that their credit rating will not be affected at the early stages of applying for a mortgage.

• Santander data reveals that five per cent of customers logged in to their online banking on Christmas Day, while thirteen people applied for a mortgage between Christmas Day and Boxing Day
• 10.00am-12.00pm was the most popular time for customers to log in to their online banking
• The data showed that securing a mortgage was predominantly a priority for males based in the North

• Santander UK plc has today announced the appointment of Michael Harte as Chief Operating Officer (COO). 
• Michael will oversee Santander UK’s business divisions and investments in the areas of technology and operations, networks, property and digital change management.  His role will also include joint responsibility, with Sigga Sigurdardottir, for Customer & Innovation services to lead the digital transformation of the bank. • Formed originally in 1996, the management team at Hallmark Sheet Metal has in excess of 78 years of combined engineering experience.

Santander UK today announces the appointment of Gerry Byrne as a Banco Santander, S.A. nominated Non-Executive Director of Santander UK with effect from 1 December 2017. He replaces Manuel Soto who will be stepping down from the Santander UK Boards on 15 December 2017.
