PIN management


You can solve most problems with your PIN without needing to order a new one. Find out how you can view, unblock, or change your PIN in the guides below. 

You shouldn't share your PIN with anyone, not even with a member of our team. 

Forgot your PIN?

It’s easy to view your PIN in Mobile Banking. Simply log on and follow these 3 steps.

Click ‘More’ in the bottom-right corner and choose ‘Cards’

Pick the card you want to see the PIN for and click ‘View PIN’

If you’re already using Online Banking, download our mobile banking app for your phone or device. Then you can log on with the same details you use for Online Banking and you’re ready to go.

You can download our app on your smartphone or device from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. Just click on one of the logos below to get started. We don’t ever recommend downloading apps from other third-party sites.

Blocked your PIN while paying for something?

If you’ve entered your PIN incorrectly 3 or more times in a row, your card may be blocked. If you remember it, you can unblock it at any of our UK cash machines or a LINK cash machine by following the steps below.

  1. Insert your card.
  2. Enter your PIN.
  3. Select the red arrow on the right of the screen to go to the next page.
  4. Choose ‘PIN Unlock’.
  5. The screen will confirm your PIN is unlocked.

Once your PIN’s unblocked, you can use your card straight away.

Blocked your PIN at the cash machine?

Your card can be blocked if you get it wrong several times at the cash machine. If this happens, please contact us

Want a more memorable PIN?

You can change your PIN at any of our UK cash machines or a LINK cash machine by following the steps below.

  1. Insert your card
  2. Enter your PIN.
  3. Select the red arrow on the right of screen to go to the next page.
  4. Choose ‘PIN Change’.
  5. Enter your new 4-digit PIN.
  6. Confirm your 4-digit PIN.

You must know your original PIN to change a PIN.
