Withdrawals
Taking money from your account
When it comes to withdrawing money from your account, we have a range of convenient options.
Electronic withdrawals
You can make withdrawals by electronic transfer (Bacs, CHAPS and Faster Payments) to another bank account.
Cash Machine
You can withdraw up to £500 in cash each day, seven days a week, from any cash machine that has a LINK symbol. You'll need a debit card and PIN for this.
Post Office®
You can also make cash withdrawals at the Post Office® using a Cash Withdrawal Card or a debit card.
Just tell the clerk how much you want to take out. You’ll need to swipe your Cash Withdrawal Card, or insert your debit card, check the amount on the screen and then use your PIN to authorise the transaction. You’ll then be given your cash and a receipt.
Your card will have a daily limit. If you need cash withdrawals of a higher amount on a regular basis, speak to your Relationship Team in advance to have your limit changed.
One off cash withdrawals above your card limit – current accounts only
If you need to withdraw more cash than your card limit on a single occasion, then please call Client Services on 0333 207 2229 to arrange a withdrawal. You can make withdrawals either by using your Cash Withdrawal Card, or your debit card. Whichever method you use, you’ll need to take some ID with you when you go to the Post Office®.
