What are card controls?
Card controls give you the flexibility to choose how you manage your account. They offer additional security features when you need them.
- Think your card has been lost or stolen? You can freeze it & unfreeze it if you find it.
- Want to block certain transactions? You can control these too.
To use any of these features, you’ll need to give us a call using the contact us section at the bottom of the page.
Freeze cards
Temporarily stop all online and contactless payments. It won’t stop Direct Debits, standing orders, refunds or subscriptions e.g. Netflix, gym membership.
Block online transactions
Stops all online payments. It won’t stop in-store and over the phone purchases or subscriptions e.g. Netflix.
Block international payments
Stops all International transactions. It won’t stop UK in-store transactions, UK cash machine withdrawals, or transactions from any website.
Block contactless
Stops all contactless payments but it won’t stop chip and pin transactions.
Gambling Block
This stops gambling transactions you might make on betting websites and bookmakers. However, this block won't stop you from purchasing lottery tickets even though it's another type of gambling.
If you choose to remove the gambling block, you'll need to wait 48 hours before you can use your card to gamble.
