At Santander we aim to support businesses with getting information on other sources of credit.

Firms should be aware there are alternative options of finance available. This can include members of the banking referral scheme or the British Business Bank.

The British Business Bank is owned by the government. They work with over 130 partners, including us, to offer support for businesses.

During the pandemic, they were central to the delivery of COVID-19 support schemes through the Recovery Loan Scheme

Start Up Loans

An example of the funding available to help new businesses begin trading is the Start Up Loans.

These loans began in 2012 to support business owners who may have struggled to secure finance.

You can get support during the application process and free one-to-one mentoring for 12 months.

To find out more about the terms and conditions, visit Start Up Loans.

The Start Up loans company is a part of the British Business Bank. We don’t get any commercial benefit from their partnership with British Business Bank.
