Important information

The 1|2|3 Current Account, 1|2|3 Lite Current Account and Select Current Account are no longer available to open. For more information, take a look at our changes to your current account page

  1. Monthly account fee: an account fee is due even if you don’t qualify for cashback or interest benefits in a specific month.
  2. Funding your account: to benefit from cashback and interest you must pay in at least £500 a month. This isn’t a calendar month, it’s the month from the date you opened your account. Interest and payments between Santander personal accounts you’re named on won't count towards the monthly funding amount. If you don’t pay the minimum amount into your account each month, you won’t get any cashback or interest for that statement month. But your monthly account fee will still be charged/due.
  3. Cashback: cashback is paid automatically into your account each month just before your statement is sent. We'll show you how much cashback you've earned in each category each month. There's a £5 cap on the total cashback you can get in each category. Mortgage cashback applies to Santander UK plc mortgages. The cashback on water and council tax bills applies to rates in Northern Ireland. If your water bill is included in your council tax bill, then you'll be paid at the rate available for council tax only. Santander has categorised all companies within cashback categories as accurately as possible.
  4. How we pay cashback: cashback is based on the date Direct Debits are collected. Direct Debit collection dates may vary, for reasons out of our control. This could mean a Direct Debit isn’t collected within a statement period. So this could be collected twice during the following statement period. This may affect on the amount of cashback you earn for that month due to the cashback cap.
